UAE-based college gives new four-year diploma in particular training

Dubai: The American University in the Emirates (AUE), based in Dubai, has introduced a four-year bachelor’s degree in special education. The program covers the key pillars of the UAE Centennial 2071 and focuses on “equity and inclusion for all students,” said AUE.

With the completion of the degree, qualified special educators are to be trained who are able to cater to the different special skills and needs of the committed and talented pupils of different educational levels, especially in kindergarten and primary school levels, also in public, or private-sector institutions .

The program also aims to shed light on the importance of advanced education and integrate determined students with their peers in inclusive classes, AUE said. Professor Mohammad Al Zeyoudi, Dean of Higher Education at AUE, said: “By equipping students with the knowledge, skills and organizational skills necessary for a quality educational process related to the classroom, the program also aims to: national professionals to develop practitioners who have the ability to demonstrate their knowledge and experience with excellence in education and teaching. “

AUE also aims to develop collaborations with government and private institutions to support their emerging needs by offering training programs to create an inclusive workplace.
