Particular schooling conferences slated |
School districts supervising students from the Steuben County will hold meetings to identify students with special needs who are either homeschooled or attending private schools.
Metropolitan School District of Steuben County
Special Education Rules Title 511 Article 7 Rule 34 requires that public schools hold a consultation with the parents of home-schooled students whose children with a disability or suspected disability live in the school district area.
The Metropolitan School District of Steuben County will host this “Child Find” counseling session on Wednesday at 2:30 pm. The meeting will take place in S. Martha Str. 400, seminar room 3rd Floor. Please remember to wear a mask or other face covering in the building and in the meeting.

Prairie heights
Prairie Heights Community Schools has also scheduled a private school meeting for parents of children with special needs.
Prairie Heights Community Schools are hosting a briefing for parents of children with special needs who live in the Prairie Heights face-to-face area and are homeschooled or in non-public schools. The meeting will take place on Monday, October 18 at 11 a.m. at the Prairie Heights Community School Corp. administrative office, 305 SCR 1150E, LaGrange.
