Visit of the Minister for Special Education and Inclusion in St. Gabriel
MINISTER Josepha Madigan, TD Minister of State responsible for Special Education and Inclusion visited St. Gabriel’s School in Limerick.
65 pupils with special needs aged 4-18 years attend the St. Gabriel School.

Upon arriving at the school, the minister was greeted warmly and shown around by Derek Cox, the headmaster. The Minister also accompanied Senator Maria Byrne and Kieran O’Donnell, TD, on her visit.

The minister had the opportunity to meet the students in their classrooms and see the great work that is being done. She thanked the staff for their support in the very successful implementation of the summer care program and for their hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Minister Madigan continued, “It was wonderful to see happy faces on all of the students and to learn about the great success of this year’s summer program. I know how important St. Gabriel is for the region and look forward to supporting the school community in future developments. “
