Kansas teen’s enterprise startup funds sister’s particular schooling wants

PLAINVILLE, Kansas (KSNW) – In May 2021, Taylor Ayers, a teenager from Plainville, Kansas, was looking for a job. Since he was only 13 years old at the time, nobody would hire him.

That was when a dog-watching opportunity sparked his big idea.

“I realized the importance of having pet care in Plainville,” said Ayers.

The young Plainville teenager decided to fix that.

“My first client started getting the word out, and then I finally came across Ayres Buddies Pet Sitting. And now I have a page and everything, and from there it just started, ”said the entrepreneur.

Taylor takes care of your pet during your absence through Ayers Buddies and lets your pet stay at home in the comfort of your own home.

“I realized that I don’t need a lot of money and thought to myself, what can I use that for?” He recalled.

That was when his younger sister Trissan came to mind.

“She’s mostly non-verbal and has epilepsy. She has heart disease, chromosome 8P, ”he said. “She’s such a soldier that she got through it all and I just love her so much.”

So he decided to donate to the Plainville Elementary School’s special education program. In less than a year he gave more than $ 1,600.

“Donating is just so good because it enables my sister and people like my sister to have a better year,” he said.

Taylor hopes to raise even more donations in 2022. Taylor plans to keep the business going until he graduates, then he’ll move it on to someone else.
