January packages on the Amboy 4-H Environmental Training Heart | Arts and Leisure
AMBOY – The Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center is offering a near-full moon walk on Sunday, January 16 at 6:00 p.m. During this program, participants take a guided moonlight hike through the center’s forests. Participants are welcome to bring flashlights or headlamps if they wish, and are encouraged to dress warmly and in layers. Outdoor shoes or winter boots that can be buckled into a snowshoe should be worn. Sneakers and fashionable boots with heels do not fit in the straps and make walking very difficult. If there is a lack of snow, the participants undertake a winter boot hike. Advance registration is requested. For more information and to register, visit http://thatscooperativeextension.org/events.
