I’m alone. Brief tales on psychological well being.
I am alone. Short stories on mental health. Is a story about a lady in her 50s who lost her husband to covid.
Savitha and her husband Rajesh were a happy couple with children and grandchildren. They have been married for 37 years and they were the perfect example of a husband-wife relationship. Always there for each other no matter what.
Savitha’s days start when they both sit in a veranda and have a cup of chai looking at the nature early morning to her end of the day when they both take tablets together (making sure the other has taken them)
As kids grew up, they were busy in their world, at it studies, at it jobs, and now family. They all lived together in the same house but were busy with their busy life. but Savitha and her husband Rajesh made sure that dinner should be done together, no matter what!

Then Covid struck!!
“We were happy until one day it all changed! Rajesh was affected by Covid in the starting days of the pandemic and then we dint have medication or the vaccines. He was taken away from the hospital and we were all isolated at home.”
“After 2 days he was declared dead! We were not allowed to see him one last time. We were not allowed to leave the house. My whole world was upside down in just a day. I was going into a deep depression, not eating, not taking medicines. I lost my world.”
My family made sure that they were with me in these difficult and uncertain times. They dint let me sleep alone at night. Kids were around me all the time not making me feel lonely. In later days I realized that family is the greatest gift I have got.
They have helped me to come out of depression. They helped me to live days normally again. I am alone. Short stories on mental health.
This is a simple fiction story about how small things matter for mental health. How family comes to rescue us from being further drowning in depression.
In this series, I would write about more such fiction stories in which small elements would help the character into a better state of mind.
