“Hillcrest Educational Centers, Inc. has reported allegations of employee misconduct to the Great Barrington Police Department and other state and local authorities. We were shocked and outraged to recently learn of alleged sexual abuse of a student by a staff member at one of our boarding schools in Great Barrington. Hillcrest is committed to preventing any form of abuse of our students and meets or exceeds licensing and accreditation standards for educational staff and reporting suspected abuse or neglect. After reviewing surveillance videos that we collect specifically to deter and detect inappropriate behavior, we reported the alleged abuse. Hillcrest is fully cooperating with the investigation. Hillcrest executives will continue to review all related policies, training and procedures to ensure that we are doing everything in our power to prevent future incidents of abuse. “
