Greater than 60% of three,900 particular training faculty college students have registered for COVID-19 vaccination: MOE

SINGAPORE: More than 60 percent of 3,900 special school students (SPED) who were invited to the COVID-19 vaccination have registered for their vaccinations, the Ministry of Education (MOE) announced on Wednesday (January 12).

Vaccination training for students aged six to 11 in SPED schools began Wednesday in four schools – Katong School, Lighthouse School, Lee Kong Chian Gardens School, and Towner Gardens School.

The vaccinations will be rolled out gradually at all 20 SPED schools with eligible students, MOE said.

Mobile vaccination teams from the Health Promotion Board are gradually being deployed to these schools, with special arrangements being made to help children with increased vaccination needs.

Before the start of the vaccination for SPED schools, the MOE and the Ministry of Health (MOH) organized on December 29, 2021 and January 6. two webinars together this year to answer questions from parents.
