Girl With Autism Struggling To Get Employed Lastly Lands Her Dream Job

The 24-year-old Sarina stern is struggling to get a job despite the labor shortage in the country.

Stern, who is autistic, had applied for several positions but was overlooked by all of them. She chose a professional training program at Sports Social, which offers programs for people with various disabilities.

In the end, she interviewed FOX5 and told her that her dream was to work at Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, an interactive art installation. Their website states that participants will explore an extraordinary supermarket that plunges into surreal worlds and unexpected landscapes.

When the story broke, Meow heard about Wolf von Stern and contacted Sports Social.

After an interview at Omega Mart, her wish came true. She was now Omega Mart’s newest employee.

“Needless to say, I screamed with joy when the call was over, I was so excited that I exceeded my wildest dreams. And it’s better than I could have imagined, to be honest with you, ”Stern told FOX5.

Stern stocks products and helps customers as a retail employee. She loves her new job because she really feels that she can be herself and that she finally feels valued. They even encourage her to bring her stuffed animals to make her feel at home.

Her favorite part is interacting with and playing with people as they navigate the exhibits.

Stern hopes her story will encourage other adults with disabilities not to give up when they are struggling to find a job.

“Show them what you have to offer,” she said to FOX5. “Show them how passionate you are in the particular area you want to get into and just know that you are worth it – you can do it.”
