Backpack giveaway in Buffalo Saturday | Schooling
Free school supplies and health information will be distributed at a Back to School Backpack Giveaway in Buffalo on Saturday.
Jennifer Mecozzi, member of the West District School Board, said the Healthcare Education Project and the Buffalo Parent Teacher Organization are partnering for the raffle from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Dr. Antonia Pantoja Community School of Academic Excellence, School 18, 750 West Ave.
There will also be a children’s dentist on hand with tote bags and questions, lead-proof tote bags from the City of Buffalo, Police Athletic League bicycle helmets, information for families with special needs from the Special Education Parents’ Council, and light refreshments.
