ACTION: Notice.
SUMMARY: The Food and Drug Administration (FDA or Agency) requires all consumer organizations interested in participating in the selection of voting and / or non-voting consumer representatives for their advisory committees or panels to notify the FDA in writing. The FDA also requires nominations for voting and / or non-voting consumer representatives to serve on advisory committees and / or panels for which positions currently exist or are expected in the near future. Nominees who are recommended as voting or non-voting consumer representatives can be nominated themselves or by a consumer organization. The FDA seeks to incorporate the views of women and men, members of all races and ethnic groups, and those with and without disabilities into its advisory boards and therefore encourages the nomination of appropriately qualified candidates from these groups. DATES: Any consumer organization interested in participating in the selection of an appropriate voting or non-voting member to represent consumer interests on an FDA advisory committee or panel may write or email the FDA with that interest send (see ADDRESSES) by [INSERT DATE 30 DAYS AFTER DATE OF PUBLICATION IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER], for the entities listed in this announcement. At the same time, nomination materials for potential candidates should be sent to the FDA (see ADDRESSES) by [INSERT DATE 30 DAYS AFTER DATE OF PUBLICATION IN THE FEDERAL REGISTER]. Nominations are accepted for current vacancies and for those who will or can occur by December 31, 2021
