Advocates need extra funding for NYC particular training preschools
Prior to 2015, the specialized preschools had six years with no increase in funding and have only received a 2% annual increase since then – less than the increase for public schools, advocates argued. The tightness has resulted in the closure of about 60 programs across the state and 30 in New York City in recent years, the letter said.
